Lieutenant T Olsson, SV - from a future that has been thrown into WWIII, T is a lieutenant employed with the Danish Navy, working under Commander Bak-Müller from the major port city, Skagen in Northern Jutland. As a teenager, she chose to become a Sworn Virgin, a third gender individual who is not required to adhere to the expectations of women (marrying and producing children), but can instead enter patriarchal society and work jobs, earn and administer their own income, own property and other such rights that are reserved for males. As a SV, T lives in celibacy and is allowed neither marriage nor parenthood. She goes under she/her pronouns, but is in most other aspects treated as male. Part of the transition into her new role was for T to give up her birth name and cut her hair short. She is currently assigned to and lives on the frigate Jörmungandr.

personality

T has risen quickly through military ranks, especially by SV standards, via a sharp intellect and an underlying compassion that makes her teamwork assignments especially superior to those of her peers. She is incredibly finely tuned to pick up on conflict and confrontational vibes and avoids most major internal problems as a general rule which is why she has become unofficial second-in-command to the more brusque Commander Bak-Müller. She is a calm and balanced presence and rarely loses composure. At the same time, she's incredibly serious about her work, having dedicated her entire life to the Danish Navy. Rules are definitely not meant to be broken for her and she would never dream to step outside military regulations, nor the regulations ascribed her as a SV. In private, there's a softer streak to her and she loves to read as well as to listen to classical music with a particular fondness for compositions from the Romantic era. In secret, she nurses a dream of one day living with a companion, but naturally writes it off as a stupid notion. When she isn't on duty, she lives her life under the heavy weight of loneliness.

SUBORDINATE: At the same time, T knows her place and is well aware of the limits to her own position as a SV. She takes orders without complaint and executes them unquestioningly.
